His research focuses on technology innovation management, innovation ecosystems, technology transfer, and science and technology policy in the context of new global competitive landscapes. He specializes in research and teaching in areas such as “paradigm shifts in technology transfer,” “academic entrepreneurship and model innovation,” and “governance of emerging technologies and high-quality education development.”
As the principal investigator, he has led research projects such as the Ministry of Education's Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Post-Grant Support Project and the Central University Basic Research Special Project. He has also participated as a core member in national-level projects such as the National Key Science and Technology Special Project and the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as provincial-level key projects under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education. He has published over ten papers as the first author in CSSCI-indexed journals such as “Studies in Science of Science,” “Research on Educational Development,” and “Tsinghua University Journal of Education.” As one of the main authors, he participated in the drafting of important policy briefings that were reviewed and approved by central leadership. Several policy briefings were adopted by the Ministry of Science and Technology's Evaluation Center and the China Association for Science and Technology and included in internal reference reports. Related research findings have won the “Outstanding Paper Award” at the 20th China Science and Technology Policy and Management Academic Conference, the “First Prize for Outstanding Papers” at the 11th National Petroleum Economics Academic Conference, and have been recognized as a “Top 5% Highly Cited Scholar” on China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) in 2024, a “High PCSI Paper” (top 0.1%), a “Highly Cited Paper” (top 1%), and a “Highly Downloaded Paper” (top 1%) on CNKI.
