Introduction
Dr Yanan Feng is an Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Chemical Technology. She received her PhD in Management from the School of Business at the University of Leeds, and studied at the Michael G. Foster School of Business at University of Washington, Seattle as well. Previously she worked as a research fellow and an assistant professor at the School of Business, the University of Nottingham. Her current research interests include venture capital, innovation and entrepreneurship, and internationa business. She is a member of the British Academy of Management, the European Academy of Management, and International Association for Chinese Management Research. She received best paper prizes from the British Academy of Management and the Chinese Association for Management of Technology (Emerald prize) annual conferences, and has won research awards from the Worldwide Universities Network and Great Britain-China Educational Trust Committee. Yanan received Overseas Research Students Award during her doctorate study, and upon completion of her doctorate degree, received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Students Abroad, sponsored by Chinese Ministry of Education.
