Introduction

Dr. Bowu Jiang's research focuses on  the fields of deep learning, machine learning, digital signal processing, image processing, and elastic wave dynamics modeling, imaging, and inversion. He currently serves as a lecturer at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). Prior to this position, he completed his postdoctoral research at the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, and obtained his Ph.D. from the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. His academic background also includes a bachelor's degree from the College of Earth Science and Technology at China University of Petroleum (East China).

Dr. Jiang has achieved significant research outcomes, particularly in multidimensional data processing and imaging. He has published papers in several high-impact international journals, including IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, Petroleum Science, and GEOPHYSICS. Moreover, Dr. Jiang has been responsible for or significantly involved in multiple research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Science Fund Project , the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Sub-project of the National Key R&D Program. These projects highlight his extensive experience in applying advanced artificial intelligence technologies to solve geophysical problems.

NSFC Youth Science Fund Project: Least-Squares Migration Based on Closed-Loop CNN+RNN Hybrid Model (2021-2022), where he explored the integration of deep learning with traditional seismic imaging techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of subsurface imaging.

China Postdoctoral Science Foundation Grant: Least-Squares Migration and Uncertainty Quantification Based on DNN in Imaging Domain (2020-2021), focusing on the application of deep neural networks (DNN) to enhance seismic imaging and quantify uncertainties.
