IntroductionOur lab mainly performs scientific research in the fields of metabolic engineering and synthetic biology, including the rational design of novel biosynthetic pathways, analysis of the regulatory mechanisms of pathways, construction of efficient microbial cells to utilize unconventional carbon sources, and genome editing and gene expression regulation techniques for unconventional bacteria. We are advancing the creation and industrial application of novel industrial strains. As the principal investigator, I have undertaken more than ten research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the National Key Research and Development Program of China. I have published over 50 SCI papers and have been granted 18 invention patents. I have been recognized as an outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship mentor in Beijing, and young teaching talent at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, leading a first-class undergraduate course and an excellent undergraduate education team.
