Introduction

Dr. Yingjie Yu is a Professor Trainee at the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). He earned his Ph.D. from Stony Brook University, State University of New York, and subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Tufts University.

His research primarily focuses on the development of biomedical polymeric materials. Specifically, he has systematically designed and developed a series of polymeric delivery systems for metal elements (including metal-based drugs and metal ions), providing critical strategies for their biomedical applications in cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as tissue regeneration.

To date, Dr. Yu has published over 120 papers, with more than 50 as first or corresponding author in leading journals such as Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials, Coordination Chemistry Reviews, ACS Nano, and Bioactive Materials. He holds more than 10 invention patents. Additionally, Dr. Yu is the principal investigator of multiple funded projects, including the Beijing Distinguished Youth Fund, National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Beijing Joint Fund.
