IntroductionMu Yuanchun, a Professor-level senior engineer,researcher, also serves as a member of the Central Enterprise Work Committee of the Communist Youth League, a member/secretary-general of the Chemical New Materials Committee of the China Chemical Industry Association, a review expert for the Ministry of Science and Technology, and an expert in talent awards evaluation for the Beijing Association for Science and Technology. His main research areas include high-performance waterborne coatings, smart materials, solar reflector glass for solar thermal power generation, and glass preparation for high-speed locomotives. Over the past five years, as the project leader, he has undertaken more than 20 projects including the National Key R&D Program during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation project, basic research projects of central universities, and enterprise technology development projects. He has published over 40 papers in domestic and international journals such as Constr Build Mater, J Am Ceram Soc, Langmuir, and Moleculars, and has been granted more than 30 domestic and international patents. As the first author, he has won awards including the Excellence Award of the 22nd China Patent Award, the Second Prize of the China Building Materials Federation·China Silicate Society Building Materials Science and Technology Award for Technological Progress, and the First Prize of the China Building Materials Group Co., Ltd.
