Research
1. Physics and Chemistry of Material Surfaces and Interfaces: Investigation of the structural characteristics, physicochemical properties, and underlying mechanisms of various material surfaces and interfaces. Research on the correlation between the mechanical, thermal, and other properties of micro/nanomaterials and their structure and scale. Addressing the irregularity and inconsistency in macroscopic properties, as well as the limitations and poor reproducibility of characterization and testing results, which arise from factors such as non-uniform dispersion and the uncertain nature of agglomerated structures of micro/nanoparticles.
2. Correlation between Microstructure and Macroscopic Properties of Polymer Materials: Study of the relationship between the curing/processing technology (e.g., temperature, pressure, time), shrinkage, and internal stress of polymer materials and their resulting microstructure. Research on the correlation between the multi-level structures of polymer materials (including different phase states of the same structure) and their target properties (such as low dielectric constant, low shrinkage, and hygrothermal stability). Establishing a systematic approach for the structural design, controllability of structure, and the structure-property relationships in polymer material systems.
