Introduction

Bo Zhi Chen is currently an Associate Professor in the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT). He studied as a joint doctoral student at Osaka University in 2019 and received his Ph.D. degree from BUCT in 2021. His research focuses on biomaterials for biomedical applications, polymer microneedles-based systems for controlled drug delivery, and wearable biosensors for diagnosis.

Research

Bo Zhi Chen is dedicated to conducting cutting-edge and challenging research at the intersection of biomedical engineering, nanotechnology, and materials science. His work encompasses the design, development, and application of novel polymeric microneedles; the molecular design, synthesis, and biomedical application of polymeric materials; and multiscale computational modeling to investigate structure–property relationships across scales in polymers. By integrating theories and methodologies from multiple fundamental disciplines, his research aims to develop innovative functional biomaterials and devices, offering new principles, technologies, and products for the design and advancement of structured solutions in the biomedical field.
