Introduction

Shujing Li is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. She received her Ph.D. from the China Academy of Engineering Physics in 2019. Her main research field is in the direction of computational condensed matter physics, focusing on the properties of two-dimensional magnetic materials. I have led a project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and completed a postdoctoral project. I have published more than 20 academic papers in international journals such as ACS Nano, Physical Review Letters, and Journal of Applied Physics.

I am recruiting master’s students majoring in physics. Applicants should have good English reading, writing, and communication skills, a solid foundation in physics, as well as a positive, hardworking, and rigorous attitude towards learning.

Research

I have been engaged in the research on the first-principles calculation of the physical properties of low-dimensional materials, proficient in the theoretical foundations of density functional theory and Monte Carlo methods, and capable of skillfully using the first-principles calculation software, such as VASP. I have accumulated rich research experience in the study of electronic structures, magnetism, and mechanical properties of f-electron lanthanide, actinide, and d-electron transition metal compounds. To date, I have published more than twenty first-author (including co-first author) academic papers closely related to this topic in mainstream SCI journals such as Phys. Rev. Lett., ACS Nano, Phys. Rev. B, Adv. Electron. Mater., and J. Appl. Phys. both domestically and internationally.

Teaching

Since I joined the company, I have been serving as a full-time teacher for the courses “College Physics Experiment II” and “Electromagnetic Fields and Electromagnetic Waves”.

Postgraduates

Funding

I am in charge of a National Natural Science Foundation of China project, a Postdoctoral Science Foundation project, and a lateral project at a Key Laboratory.
