Introduction

Dr. Zhiqin Yuan, Professor at the College of Chemistry, Deputy Director of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Head of Applied Chemistry, and Member of the Beijing University of Chemical Technology Branch of the 93 Society. Received the third prize in the Beijing Youth Education Competition, the National Excellent Teaching Team in Petroleum and Chemical Education, the school level Young Teaching Teacher Award, the first prize in the Teacher Teaching Innovation Competition, the first prize in the Teaching Achievement Award, and the demonstration course of ideological and political education. Supported by multiple funds such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China's General Program, I am mainly engaged in the research of analytical chemistry, physical chemistry, and surface properties of fluorescent metal nanoclusters, carbon quantum dots, and layered material materials. I have published nearly 80 SCI papers in internationally renowned academic journals such as Angelwandte Chemie International Edition. Currently, I serve as a young editorial board member of Journal of Analysis and Testing and deputy editor in chief of Frontiers in Chemistry.

Research Interests

Analytical Chemistry — Functionalized fluorescent metal nanoclusters, Synthesis and application of organic probes, Luminescence-based nanostructure analysis.

  • Development of Sensors      Based on Organic and Inorganic Materials. The development of      sensors based on organic and inorganic materials has revolutionized the      way we sense and measure various environmental parameters. These sensors      are designed to detect a wide range of physical, chemical, or biological      stimuli, with high sensitivity and specificity. The field of organic and      inorganic sensor development remains vibrant, with researchers exploring      new materials, optimizing existing ones, and integrating them into      miniaturized and multiplexed sensor platforms.

  • Structure Analysis of Nanomaterials and Polymers. Structure analysis of nanomaterials and polymers is a crucial task that involves characterization of their physical and chemical properties. This analysis provides insights into the structure-property relationships of these materials, which are essential for their application in various fields. By developing novel luminescence-based analytical techniques, structure analysis of nanomaterials and polymers can be rapidly achieved in compared to conventional instruments. Thus enables materials scientists to gain insights into their structure-property relationships, which are essential for optimizing their performance in various applications.
