Introduction

Feng Li, is a Principal Investigator and doctoral supervisor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, recipient of the National Excellent Youth Science Fund, high-level talent at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and head of “Chemistry + Bioengineering” dual-degree program. Prof. Li obtained her B.S. degree from College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Lanzhou University (2010), and Ph.D. degree from National Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, CAS (2015). In 2015, she joined the Department of Chemistry at Tsinghua University as a postdoc. From 2018 to 2022, she has worked as associate professor at School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tianjin University. Her current research interests are mainly the creation of intelligent nucleic acid nanomedicine and the development of gene therapy strategies. Focusing on “targeted and controllable release of nucleic acid drugs” and “green biosynthesis of nucleic acid drugs”, Prof. Li proposed new methods of nucleic acid molecule cascade assembly and enzymatic amplification, and expanded the application of nucleic acid nanomedicine in cell function intervention and the treatment of disease such as tumors and viral infections. In recent years, Prof. Li has published more than 50 papers, including Chem. Soc. Rev.Nat. Commun.J. Am. Chem. Soc.Angew. Chem.Adv. Mater.Nano Lett.Nano TodayAcc. Mater. Res., etc., and has applied for 9 Chinese invention patens. The relevant research achievement has won the “Basic Research Achievement Award” of the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Chemical Society. Prof. Li has hosted 8 foundation projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China (Excellent Youth Program, General Program and Youth Program). Prof. Li has edited the textbook “Nucleic Acid Functional Materials” in chief, co-authored the monograph “Synthetic Genomics” and the English monograph “Handbook of Chemical Biology of Nucleic Acids”, as well as the core course textbook “Chemical Biology Experiments” for the Chemistry “101 Project”. Prof. Li alos serves as the young editorial board member of Chinese Chem. Lett., and project review expert for NSFC.
