IntroductionDr. Bin Liu obtained his Ph.D. from the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry (TIPC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), under the mentorship of Professors Li-Zhu Wu and Chen-Ho Tung. He subsequently held positions at the Center for Super Diamond and Advanced Films (COSDAF) and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at City University of Hong Kong, where he served successively as Senior Research Assistant, Senior Research Associate, and Research Fellow. In due course, he joined the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology as an associate professor. Dr. Liu has focused his research on energy-related catalysis, publishing over 60 SCI papers in prestigious journals such as Adv. Mater., JACS, Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Energy Mater., ACS Nano, ACS Energy Lett., and Adv. Funct. Mater., which collectively have garnered more than 4,000 citations with the highest citation of 496 times. Five of his publications are recognized as ESI highly cited papers, while seven have been selected for journal covers. As a principal investigator, he has successfully secured funding for two projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one project from the Basic Scientific Research Fund for Central Universities. Additionally, he serves as a young editorial board member for several journals including Nano Micro Letters, Nano Research Energy, Materials Futures, and Battery Energy. His accolades include the Rising Star Award from Materials Today Energy, the Emerging Investigator Award from J. Mater. Chem A, and High Contribution Author Award presented by Wiley China.
