IntroductionDuanyang Kong, Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor, has been awarded the National Ten Thousand Talents Program Outstanding Youth (2023), Beijing Science and Technology New Star Talent (2021), and Chaoyang District Phoenix Program Outstanding Youth Talent in Beijing (2024). He obtained his Ph.D. from Beijing Normal University in 2017 and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Alberta in Canada from 2017 to 2021. In 2021, he joined the National Key Laboratory of Efficient Utilization of Chemical Resources & the School of Chemistry at Beijing University of Chemical Technology to carry out research. His research focuses on the precise conversion methodologies of chemical bonds in small resource molecules and their high-value utilization in medicine and energy. He has led several projects, including sub-projects of the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and Beijing Science and Technology New Star Cooperation Projects. In recent years, he has published over 30 academic papers in internationally renowned journals, including Science, Nat. Catal., Nat. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., and Chem. Sci.. He currently serves as a director of the Carbon Neutrality Professional Committee of the China Petroleum Enterprises Association and as a youth editorial board member for the journal Chemical Synthesis.
