IntroductionZhiyong Zhou is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Chemical Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology. He received his B.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University in 2007 and 2012, respectively, and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University before joining the School of Chemical Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology through high-level talent introduction in 2015. He mainly focuses on the fields of comprehensive utilization of complex lithium-containing water resources, novel separation technology and intensification of chemical process, and carries out functionalized solvent construction and application, lithium extraction from salt lake and oil and gas field water, recovery of spent lithium-ion battery, recovery of rare earth iron slag , active design and regulation of molecular/ionic recognition separation materials. He has presided over scientific research projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), GFKGJ-HZY special projects, key projects of Beihua-China Petroleum Consortium, and participated in key special projects of the National Key Research and Development Program. He has published more than 140 SCI articles and 2 ESI highly cited papers in AIChE J., Chem. Eng. Sci. and Ind. Eng. Chem. Res. journals, and has applied for more than 20 national invention patents and authorized more than 10. In 2015, he was awarded the “Excellent Talents Project Fund” of Beijing Municipal Party Committee Organization Department. In 2019, he was selected by Beijing University of Chemical Technology's “Hundred Young Talents Program”. In 2020, he was selected by The Kunlun Talents ‧ High-End Innovative and Entrepreneurial Talents program in Qinghai Province. In 2021, he was selected as one of the third batch of introduced high-level talents in Jiangxi Province - innovation leaders. In 2023, he has transformed one scientific and technological achievement. In 2024, he was selected as Leading Talent in entrepreneurship under the Ganpo Talent Program of Jiangxi Province.
