Introduction

Liang-Liang Zhang is a professor at the Research Center of the Ministry of Education for High Gravity Engineering and Technology of Beijing University of Chemical Technology. He is an outstanding researcher focusing on the process intensification of multiphase reaction.

His main research interests lie in process intensification in general and in particular the development of process intensification technologies aided by multi-scale modelling. This includes but is not limited to: development of novel reactors and process, visualization of flow and transport phenomena, mixing/mass transfer performance assessment and intensification, computational fluid dynamics simulation, process simulation and optimization. He has extensive expertise in the development of rotating packing beds targeting various applications in terms of separation and reaction.
