Introduction

Prof. Zhiming Liu obtained his PhD degree at Tsinghua University in 2004. He successively worked as a post-doctoral fellow in Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) (2004-2006), University of Alberta (2006) and Clemson University (2007-2008).  In 2008 Dr. Liu joined the State Key Laboratory of Chemical Resource Engineering, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, as a professor.

His research is focused on the environmental catalysis and air pollution control. He was selected as the Excellent Young Scholar of Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation in 2010, New Century Excellent Talents of the Chinese Ministry of Education in 2013awarded the IAAM(International Association of Advanced Materials) Medal in 2019 and won the natural science award of the Chinese Ministry of Education in 2023.

As the principle investigator, he hosted over 20 projects including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National Key R&D Program of China. Over 100 papers have been published in the peer-reviewed international journals such as Energy & Environmental Science, Applied Catalysis B, Journal of Catalysis and Catalysis Reviews-Science & Engineering. Prof. Liu is the editorial member of Catalysis Communications and the associate editor of Frontiers in Catalysis.
