My main research topics and awards are as follows. 1) Published over 150 SCI papers, issued 20 patents, and been selected as the most cited Chinese Researchers since 2014 by the Elsevier Publishing Group. 2) Calcium carbide chemistry and CaC2-derived carbon materials. CaC2 is firstly used for the mechanochemical preparation of various alkynyl carbon materials(ACM), and other 3D composite materials. 3) Study on thermodynamics of ionic liquids(ILs) and ILs-based novel separation technology, e.g. oil desulfurization and extractive distillation. 4) Development of greener process for utilization of waste resources. e.g. catalytic conversion of CCl4 to CH3Cl, and CHF3 to CHCl3. As a senior ODS expert, I have been involved in ODS phaseout of China and implementation of the Montreal Protocol since 1999. For this, I was awarded the recognizing and appreciating certificate in 2017 by UNDP, ENEP, UNIDO, and the WB.
