IntroductionProf. Gao has been engaged in research on fluid mixing, multiphase chemical reaction engineering, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), process intensification and solid-state hydrogen storage. Over the last decade, he has published more than 140 academic papers. He led the development of large-scale high-efficiency stirred reactors, which replaced foreign technologies and have been successfully industrialized—over 10,000 units have been delivered to nearly 100 domestic and international companies, spanning chemical, pharmaceutical, and advanced materials industries.
