Introduction

Dr. Hong Yan joined the staff of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) in 1999. She received her PhD degree from BUCT in 2009, under the supervision of Prof. Xue Duan. She was employed by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as research associate under Prof. Yun-Dong Wu’s supervision (2010-2011). Her current interests are mainly focused on(1) the theoretical design and fabrication of layered materials, (2) the theoretical study on the catalytic material and the catalytic reaction mechanism regarding energy Utilization, and (3) the application of machine learning in material design and catalysis. She has published more than 90 papers in high-impact journals, including J. Phys. Chem. C, Chem. Commun., J. Org. Chem., Adv. Funct. Mater. and so forth. She has co-authored three books regarding layered materials. As principal investigator, she finished more than 7 research programs of National Science Foundation of China and other research Programs.
