Anzhenghou

I am An Zhenghou, from South Korea. I was admitted to the Chinese Department of Chungnam University with a four-year full scholarship for my excellent grades during my undergraduate studies. During my university years (1987, 1988, 1989), I underwent language training at Taiwan Normal University every summer. I am currently a graduate student at Korea International Studies University. I have planned and organized several Chinese cultural exchange conferences on campus, actively represented Korea International Studies University in various competitions and events, and have won team awards with excellent results multiple times.

From March 1994 to May 2000, I worked at the Bank of China's Seoul headquarters, located in the center of Seoul, South Korea. I started as an assistant in the sales department and later took on the responsibility of managing incoming and outgoing transactions, as well as accounting and finance work in the general affairs department. From 2000 to 2003, I worked as a lecturer at Dongguk University in South Korea and was repeatedly selected as one of the most beloved teachers by students.

I served as the Director of the International Department at Beijing Institute of Technology Affiliated Middle School from 2005 to 2015 and have been awarded the title of Excellent Teacher multiple times. I am currently working in the International Student Office of the School of International Education at our university. Through years of work experience, I have accumulated rich experience in international student management and cross-cultural communication.

In my current role, I am mainly responsible for promoting exchanges and cooperation with Korean universities, recruiting and promoting Korean students to study in China, coordinating safety education and daily management of students, and promptly handling and reporting emergencies.

At the same time, I actively expand enrollment channels, promote and build the Beihua study abroad brand from multiple dimensions, stabilize existing student sources, and expand enrollment scale. I also provide comprehensive support services for international students from South Korea, including admission application guidance, daily life assistance, and academic consultation. I organize and plan various cultural exchange activities, such as the China-Korea Cultural Festival and language exchange salons, aimed at promoting a deeper understanding and integration of the cultures of the two countries.

During my tenure, I organized six summer and winter camps for Korean international students, providing them with a three-week opportunity for Chinese language and cultural exchange and learning.

In addition to my daily work, I am also committed to helping international students with career planning, including providing career development advice, internship opportunities, and more. I actively participated in and promoted the school's international cultural exchange activities. I organized Korean students to participate in the celebration of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party, which made me and the students feel more the greatness of China, the Communist Party, and the strength of the unity of the Chinese people. Inspired by this, I began to actively participate in the unified learning organized by the university, striving to maintain progressiveness in ideology and constantly enhancing my deep understanding of China's national conditions and the Party's policies through learning.

In terms of personal skills, I am proficient in both Chinese and Korean, hold qualifications as a Korean language teacher and a Korean social welfare teacher, and possess excellent cross-cultural communication skills and a strong teamwork spirit.

I hope that through my efforts, I can promote the internationalization and diversified development of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, provide the best quality services for every international student, and help them achieve success and happiness in their studies and lives in China.
