Introduction

Mingtao Yao is a professor and master’s supervisor at the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. He is a member of the Chinese Institute of Command and Control. He received his Ph.D degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2011. He specializes in vehicle engineering, flying cars, multi-role platforms, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and unmanned systems. He has consistently worked across multiple fields and disciplines, including system integration, the development of new-concept equipment, intelligent systems, and information technology. He has led or participated in numerous projects involving the development of flying cars, special-purpose vehicles, and robots. He has published over 30 papers and holds more than 20 authorized or pending patents and software copyrights. He was awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by XX.
