IntroductionDr. Liu Huiyu, professor and PhD supervisor, is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, and the Newton Advanced Fellowship. She received her PhD in July 2007 from the Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and subsequently stayed on to work at the institute. From September 2013 to September 2014, she was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Since November 2015, she has been a professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Her research focuses on biomedical materials, and she has published over 120 papers in international journals such as Nature Biotechnology, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Journal of the American Chemical Society, and Advanced Materials, with more than 12,900 citations. She has 13 ESI (Essential Science Indicators) Highly Cited Papers, and H-index of 53. She holds 19 authorized invention patents. She serves as the Associate Editor of the Wiley’s Exploration journal, Associate Editor of Advanced Nanocomposites, Editorial Board Member of Fundamental Research, Aggregate, and Materials & Design, and Youth Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Inorganic Chemistry. Additionally, she is an executive committee member of the Nanobiotechnology Branch of the Chinese Medicinal Biotechnology Association. She has received numerous honors, including the First Prize of the Huaxia Medical Science and Technology Award, the First Prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize of the Beijing Medical Science and Technology Award, the Youth Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Medical Science and Technology Award, the Lu Jiaxi Young Talent Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing Science and Technology Star, Outstanding Award of the Jingbo Science and Technology Award - Jingbo Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Supervisor. In the realm of postgraduate supervision, I emphasize the nurturing of moral competence and holistic development among my supervisees. I have instructed courses such as Introduction to Biomedical Engineering, Introduction to Bioengineering, and Medical Safety Regulation, serving a cumulative total of over 350 students, which have garnered favorable reception from both faculty and students alike. In recent years, the graduate students independently supervised by me have published more than 120 papers in international journals such as Nat. Biotechnol.、Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.、J. Am. Chem.
