IntroductionChen Biqiang, professor, received his Ph.D. in biochemical engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2008. He did postdoctoral research at the Institute of Biochemical Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University from 2009 to 2010. He has been working at Beijing University of Chemical Technology since 2010. He has been engaged in research in the field of industrial enzyme catalysis for a long time. As the project leader, he has undertaken more than 20 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Key R&D Program, 973 and 863 projects, and corporate horizontal projects. In recent years, he has published more than 50 SCI papers and applied for 20 patents. He won 1 second prize of the National Technological Invention Award in 2008, 1 first prize of Sinopec Technological Invention Award, and 1 second prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award. He won the Youth Outstanding Paper Award of the Enzyme Engineering Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Microbiology in 2011. In 2010, he won the Outstanding Contribution Award of the 10,000 Scientific Problems of the Ministry of Education.
