IntroductionProfessor Wu Yixian received the degrees of BSc (1986), MSc (1991) and PhD (1998) from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. She was promoted to full Professor in 2001 and PhD supervisor status in 2002. She visited the University of Gent in Belgium and University of Evry in France from Dec. 2001 to May 2002. Her scientific research interests focus on: (1) Controlled/living polymerization of C2~C5 olefins, styrene and its derivatives; (2) Macromolecular engineering via controlled/living polymerization; (3) Advanced synthetic rubber for tire manufacture and (4) Advanced thermoplastic elastomer synthesis for biomedical and energy applications.
