I am Weidong Wu, a scientist with extensive research in materials science and engineering. Over the past decades, I have been engaged in this field and have earned my B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Polymer Materials Science and Engineering from the Beijing University of Chemical Technology. I am currently a researcher associate at the Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Also, I was a Visiting Research Scientist at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology from 2015-2016, where I collaborated closely with Dr. Hao Fong, Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Applied Biological Sciences, and until Dec. 2023 we have published 6 peer-reviewed journal articles/papers cited for 372 times according to Google Scholar.

My research work primarily involves research of structures and properties of polymer composites filled with electrospun nanofibers, research on the evaluation of properties of anti-oxidant additives in synthetic rubber and rubber/plastics goods, and the study of structures, properties, and applications of rubber composites filled with short fibers such as aramid pulp, dipped chopped fibers, and halloysite nanotubes.
