Introduction

Engaged in related work in the field of materials science and engineering for a long time, the concept of corrosion system engineering is highly emphasized in scientific research and solving practical engineering problems. Emphasis is placed on integrating theory with practice, and comprehensive control of corrosion in materials and engineering is carried out from multiple perspectives such as material selection, structural design, surface protection, environmental control, and non-destructive monitoring. In recent years, I have led and completed over 50 national and provincial-level scientific research projects. I have published more than 100 papers and 6 monographs in international mainstream academic journals such as Corrosion Science, ACS Applied Materials&Interfaces, Chemical Engineering Journal, Applied Surface Science, Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Materials Letters, Progress in Organic Coatings, etc. I have also been granted over 20 national invention patents and won one first prize and one second prize at the provincial and ministerial level. Serving as JOURNAL OF SOLIDSTATE ELECTRIC MATERIALS CHEMISTRY AND PHYSICS、POLYMER ENGINEERING & SCIENCE、CORROSION、ANTI-CORROSION METHODS AND MATERIALS、ACTA CHIMICA SINICA、 Editorial board members and reviewers for over 20 domestic and international publications in the field of materials, including Journal of Tianjin University, Journal of Wuhan University, China Surface Engineering, Surface Technology, Corrosion and Protection, Material Protection, Materials Engineering, Non destructive Testing, Chinese Coatings, etc; Served as Vice Chairman of the Composite Materials Professional Committee for Ship and Ocean Engineering of the China Composite Materials Society, Vice Chairman of the Marine Pollution Protection Technology Professional Committee of the China Corrosion Protection Society, Member of the Corrosion Electrochemistry and Testing Methods Professional Committee of the China Corrosion Protection Society, Member of the Expert Committee of the China Coatings Industry Association, Expert of the National Automotive Corrosion and Aging Evaluation Expert Group, and Member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) in the United States.

  • Ocean engineering and equipment structural material design, system protection technology research and engineering application;


  • Demonstration and establishment of large-scale key projects and equipment material systems, full lifecycle safety and health monitoring (deep-sea equipment, cross sea bridges, submarine pipelines);


  • Advanced carbon material research and development: controllable preparation and application of multidimensional nanomaterials such as graphene (G/GO) and two-dimensional transition metal compounds (MXENE);


  • Green intelligent material development: MOF metal organic framework materials, quantum dot fluorescent materials, photocatalytic/piezoelectric materials, self-healing materials, etc;


  • Development of intelligent protective materials; Frontier and fundamental research on biomimetic intelligent materials (automatic perception, automatic recognition, automatic execution, automatic repair);


  • Control and functionalization of surface/interface properties of metal and semiconductor materials: high adsorption, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, self-lubricating, antibacterial, etc;


  • Research and development, processing, manufacturing, and application of advanced nano metal materials (metal/alloy materials, metal based composite materials, metal functional materials, etc.);


  • Biomimetic/Biobased Material Development: Design of shark skin inspired micro/nano structured materials; Controllable preparation and hydration of bio based epoxy resin;


  • Design, research and engineering application of new special functional coatings (anti fouling, anti-corrosion and conductive, anti-corrosion and antibacterial, photocatalytic, self-healing, self degradation, etc.);


  • Research on material corrosion mechanism, failure behavior, and evaluation techniques; Research and development of equipment protection technology; Development of various sensors and non-destructive monitoring and testing technologies;


  • Research on the behavior patterns and pollution control technologies of marine organisms (new environmentally friendly long-term anti fouling coatings);
