IntroductionJian Zhang now is an associate professor at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. In 2021, he received his Ph.D. degree from Beijing University of Chemical Technology under the supervision of Professor He Jing and he went to Karlsruhre Institute of Technology as a visiting Ph.D. student under the supervision of Professor Jan-Dierk Grunwaldt from 2019 to 2020. His research interest lies in the process intensification for the cascade reactions between multiple molecules: biomass-derived molecules conversion to value-added chemicals. He has presided over NSFC, the National Key R&D Program, postdoctoral funds and enterprise commissioned scientific research projects and he has published more than 10 papers in Angew. Chem.、ACS Catal.、J. Catal.、Appl. Catal. B. Chem Catal. and so on, and, applied for 1 international patent, and authorized 3 national invention patents. He has won the President's Scholarship of Beijing University of Chemical Technology and the Chemistry Scholarship of Tang Aoqing.
